Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, today announced that leaders from its Brand Management and Managed Markets Practices will conduct two speaking engagements at the Center for Business Intelligence’s (CBI) 2nd Annual Forum on Oncology Commercialization Strategies. In addition, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, Nader Naeymi-Rad, will serve as conference chairperson. The conference will be held on January 12 and 13, 2009, at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia.
As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Naeymi-Rad oversees the business operations of the six consulting practice areas at Campbell Alliance. Prior to this executive appointment, he served pharmaceutical and biotech clients around the world as Senior Vice President and head of the Brand Management Practice at Campbell Alliance.
Leading up to the conference, Darius Naigamwalla, Senior Vice President and Global Practice Area Lead, and Tom Luginbill, Vice President, of the firm’s Brand Management Practice will co-present a pre-conference workshop titled “Comprehensive Pre-Launch Commercial Planning and Launch Logistics for Oncology Products” from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on January 12. This workshop will provide a comprehensive understanding of each stage of commercial planning for oncologic products and will suggest strategies and tactics for proactively managing launch logistics. The workshop will also feature an interactive working session during which delegates can collaborate to assess the timing of each commercial planning- and logistics-related activity throughout this critical phase of a product’s life cycle.
Mr. Naigamwalla specializes in working closely with brand managers to define market potential, commercialization requirements and appropriate product positioning. He holds an MBA from the University of Victoria, an MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Western Ontario, and a BS in Biochemistry from McMaster University.
Mr. Luginbill provides management consulting services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries worldwide, although he has spent most of his career in the industry. In the course of his 20-year career, Mr. Luginbill has had a wide variety of commercial roles, including Sales Representative, Director of Marketing, Regional Sales Director, and Vice President of Commercial Strategy at GlaxoSmithKline, where he was responsible for the worldwide commercial development of the company’s antibiotic portfolio.
On the following day, from 8:15 am to 9:00 am, Kevin Barnett, Senior Vice President and head of Campbell’s Managed Markets Practice, will present a session titled “Understand and Adjust to the Evolving Reimbursement Environment for Oncology Products.” This session will examine the myriad drivers of change that have led payers to take a closer look at oncology products. Mr. Barnett will also discuss the implications of these changes for pharmaceutical and biotech marketers, specifically on reimbursement dynamics, the development of payer value propositions, and contracting strategies.
As the leader of Campbell Alliance’s Managed Markets Practice, Mr. Barnett brings to his consulting engagements more than a decade of experience with many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
