Campbell Alliance Establishes Executive Advisory Group

July 18, 2003
Campbell Alliance, a management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, announced today that Lisa Grimes has joined the firm as a member of its recently formed Executive Advisory Group.  Campbell Alliance president John Campbell established the advisory group in order to bring additional expertise to bear on highly complex engagements.  Ms. Grimes will focus on clinical development projects.

With 18 years in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, Ms. Grimes will contribute a wealth of experience in clinical development.  Before joining Campbell Alliance, Ms. Grimes managed her own consulting firm, LTG Consulting.  Earlier in her career, she played a leading role in establishing two contract research organizations, InSite Clinical Trials and PPD, Inc.  Ms. Grimes also held key positions at Glaxo (now GlaxoSmithKline), CompuChem, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

At Campbell Alliance, she will team up with the vice president of Clinical Development, Gary Tyson, leveraging her strong understanding of the industry on consulting engagements and enhancing the firm’s relationships with clinical development executives.  “We are extremely pleased that Lisa has joined our team,” said Mr. Tyson.  “Her exceptional expertise and diverse industry contacts will be great assets to the Clinical Development Practice and Campbell Alliance as a whole.”

The Clinical Development Practice addresses a core need in clinical development--concrete methods to improve operational efficiency.  “The Clinical Development Practice is not a CRO,” said Tyson.  “That is, we don’t conduct clinical studies.  Instead, we help our clients define effective methods to maximize the speed and efficiency of internal and outsourced trials.  Our services include improving systems for selecting and managing CRO partners, designing more efficient processes for overseeing clinical trials, and optimizing communications tools.”

Campbell Alliance boasts a clientele that includes the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies.  It currently has offices in Raleigh, NC, and Parsippany, NJ.  The firm serves clients throughout the US, Europe, and Japan.
