Campbell Ranks #171 on the 2003 Inc. 500 with Five-Year Sales Growth of 968%
Inc. magazine has released its 23rd annual Inc. 500 ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, ranks #171 on the list, with five-year sales growth of 968%. The Inc. 500 special issue will appear on newsstands October 14.
The Inc. 500 is made up of privately held, independent companies that meet ambitious revenue-growth requirements for the previous five years. Inc. verifies all financial information through interviews with company personnel, tax forms, and financial statements from certified public accountants.
John Campbell, president of Campbell Alliance, is proud of his company’s standing on the Inc. 500 list. “It’s an honor to be #171 in our first year of eligibility. I consider it a tribute to the dedication of our team of consultants and the loyalty of our client base.” Many companies making the Inc. 500 list have gone on to dominate their industries. Past honorees include Microsoft, Timberland, Oracle, Morningstar, E*Trade, and Domino’s Pizza.
While Campbell is pleased with his company’s achievements to date, he continues to look ahead. “When I started Campbell Alliance six years ago, it was a tiny operation in office space borrowed from a friend. My vision then was to build a firm that offered something truly different to pharmaceutical clients—a consulting firm that deeply understands the industry and the discrete functions within it. We set out to help our clients with very specific, highly complex problems that require in-depth knowledge of the industry. That vision and our commitment to service are the reasons we’ve grown so impressively,” he said. “Today, we continue to find new ways to add value for our clients.”
Campbell Alliance boasts a clientele that includes most of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as numerous emerging and midsize firms. Its team of 70 people operates from two locations—headquarters in Raleigh, NC, and a regional office in Parsippany, NJ, near the heart of the US pharmaceutical industry. The firm serves clients throughout the US, Canada, and Europe and plans to open additional regional offices in the near future.
