Campbell Alliance to Participate in Roundtable Discussion On Globalization Issues at CED Biotech 2005 Conference

May 24, 2005

Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, today announced that Nader Naeymi-Rad, senior vice president of its Brand Management Practice, will participate in a roundtable discussion at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s 14th Annual Biotech 2005 Conference to be held May 24-25 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Research Triangle Park, N.C.  The roundtable titled “Going Global:  Cross-Border Issues Facing Life Sciences Companies” will begin on May 25 at 11:40 a.m. (EDT) and highlight emerging issues affecting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies.

Naeymi-Rad will join a panel of experts with diverse industry experience including Randall Marcuson, president and CEO of Embrex and Michael Murphy, president and CEO of Gentris Corporation.  The panel, to be moderated by Michael Constantino of Ernst & Young LLP, will explore issues related to the increasing globalization of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, such as the importance of identifying and accessing global markets; how to best operate in foreign countries; how best to position products and/or services for global manufacturing and delivery; and how to avoid pitfalls.

“As the life sciences industry continues to expand and become a more global arena, companies need to adjust their strategies to the differing needs of foreign markets,” Naeymi-Rad commented.  “The opportunities are endless, so making the correct choices is critical.  A company’s ability to identify the most favorable business environment, choose a market entry strategy,  identify key partners, build infrastructure, navigate the vast regulatory landscape, and effectively position products at launch are all key to success,” he emphasized.

As Senior Vice President, Nader Naeymi-Rad leads the Brand Management Practice at Campbell Alliance.  Mr. Naeymi-Rad is an expert in developing and implementing product strategy, process improvement, sales, and business development solutions for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.  Naeymi-Rad has worked closely with companies in the US and European markets to guide clinical development programs and formulate commercial strategies.

The 14th Annual Biotech 2005 Conference is presented by CED in partnership with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the North Carolina Biosciences Organization, and the Biotechnology Industry Organization.  For more information, please visit
