Campbell Alliance Solidifying Its Position as Thought Leader in Medicare Consulting Services for the Pharma and Biotech Industry

February 2, 2006

- Kevin Barnett to Serve as Chairperson at CBI’s Strategic Medicare Compliance and Administration Summit -

Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, today announced that Kevin Barnett, Senior Vice President and head of its Managed Markets Practice, will serve as chairperson of the Strategic Medicare Compliance and Administration Summit hosted by the Center for Business Intelligence (CBI). The conference will be held February 6-7, 2006 at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Mr. Barnett will also present a session at the event and moderate a panel discussion. This marks the second year in a row that the firm has served a leadership role at CBI’s Medicare conference.

Campbell Alliance’s Managed Markets practice has steadily solidified its position as a thought leader in Medicare management consulting services for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.  Since early 2005, members of the practice’s senior management have spoken on 21 separate occasions at 12 conferences and tradeshows on a range of topics, including Medicare Part D marketing strategies, medication therapy management programs, building a value proposition for payers, and on handling the shift of dual-eligibles from Medicaid to Medicare.

“Even now that Medicare Part D has been implemented, our team continues to execute increasingly complex projects for many top 20 companies.  The industry will eventually get to a point where Part D-related planning becomes more integrated into normal corporate and brand planning processes, but there is much work to be done to ensure a smooth transition,” stated Barnett.

On February 6 at 4:40 p.m., Mr. Barnett will moderate the panel discussion “Insight Into the Small to Midsize Manufacturer’s Unique Part D Approach,” with participation from Celgene, ImClone, Reliant Pharmaceuticals, and Serono.

Mr. Barnett will open the second day of the conference at 8:15 a.m. with a session titled “Adjusting Your Medicare Part D Strategy in Light of New Information.”  It will focus on the need for companies to monitor how the Part D implementation has unfolded and adjust their strategies and tactics accordingly in the areas of brand management, managed markets marketing, managed markets sales, and field sales.
