Campbell Alliance to Discuss Common Missteps in Valuation at Fourth Straight BIO Advanced Business Development Course

Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, today announced that Ben Bonifant, Vice President of its Business Development Practice, will be present a workshop as part of the BIO (Biotechnology Industry Organization) Advanced Business Development Course for the fourth straight occasion.  The course, which is being held April 12−14, 2007 at The Fairmont Washington, D.C.,  immediately follows BIO-Windhover, a partnering event for top-level pharmaceutical and biotechnology business development executives and CEOs.


Mr. Bonifant’s workshop, titled “11 Missteps in Valuation and How to Avoid Them,” will discuss some of the more frequently encountered errors in valuation models.  The audience will then participate in an interactive discussion of how decision makers can increase the likelihood that the models they rely on reflect the “real world” of pharmaceutical commercialization.  The workshop will be conducted on Friday, April 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.


Mr. Bonifant has been a management consultant for 15 years, helping leaders of global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations and decision makers of large private equity funds.  His perspectives on developments in the life sciences market are frequently published in industry and strategy journals, and he is a frequent guest lecturer at some of the nation’s premier universities.  Mr. Bonifant earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
