Campbell Alliance Managed Markets Practice to Take Leadership Role at CBI’s Formulary and Reimbursement Conference

September 26, 2007

Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, today announced that its Managed Markets practice will be taking a leadership role at the 4th Annual Forum on Formulary and Reimbursement Strategies hosted by the Center for Business Intelligence (CBI).  The conference will be held on September 27-28 at the Crown Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Tony Lanzone, a Vice President at Campbell Alliance, will serve as conference chairperson.  Mr. Lanzone has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, ranging from sales at a top-five pharmaceutical company to management consulting in both the hospital and pharmaceutical sectors.  Prior to joining Campbell Alliance, he served as a senior director in Premier’s HealthCare Informatics division.  Mr. Lanzone earned his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the College of William & Mary.

In addition, Mr. Lanzone and Steve Carter, Vice President in the Managed Markets practice at Campbell Alliance, will be facilitating a pre-conference workshop titled “Developing a Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy in an Evolving Payer Environment.”  Their presentation will focus on the importance of understanding the evolving reimbursement environment, and will provide an overview of payers and the role they play in the buying process for pharmaceuticals.  The workshop will also review the key components of developing and executing strong payer strategies, including the potential product- and market-specific elements of a payer value proposition.  During the workshop, participants will collaborate to develop an actual value proposition, contracting strategy, and pricing strategy in an interactive case study format.

Mr. Carter has provided consulting services to top pharmaceutical clients for more than a decade.  His areas of expertise include pricing and contracting strategy, competitive assessment, research design, and analytical modeling.  He holds a BS degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
