Campbell Alliance Participates for Fourth Straight Year in the BIO Advanced Business Development Course and BIO-Europe

November 5, 2007

Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, today announced that Ben Bonifant, Vice President of the firm’s Business Development practice, will speak at the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) Advanced Business Development (BD) Course and the BIO-Europe conference in Hamburg, Germany.  Mr. Bonifant will be participating in both events for the fourth straight year, including a workshop at the Advanced BD Course and his first speaking role at BIO-Europe.

The Advanced BD Course will take place from November 9-11 at the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten.  Mr. Bonifant’s workshop, "11 Missteps in Valuation and How to Avoid Them," will discuss some of the more frequently encountered errors in valuation models. The audience will then participate in an interactive discussion of how decision makers can increase the likelihood that the models they rely on reflect the "real world" of pharmaceutical commercialization. The workshop will be conducted on Friday, November 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will greatly benefit business development professionals interested in bringing their skills in valuation, due diligence, negotiations, and contracts to the next level.

BIO-Europe will be held at the CCH-Congress Center Hamburg from November 12-14.  At BIO-Europe, Mr. Bonifant will participate in a panel discussion titled, “Biotech/Pharma Co-Promotion Rights: An Opportunity or Challenge?”  The panel will explore the pros and cons of including co-marketing and co-promotion rights into deals and of triggering these rights on the part of the biotech.  The marketing co-promotion panel will take place on Monday, November 12, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.  In addition to Mr. Bonifant, the panel will include other licensing executives from the industry.  Campbell Alliance will also be exhibiting at the conference.  Please visit us at booth # 50.

Mr. Bonifant has been a management consultant for nearly 15 years, helping leaders of global pharmaceutical and biotech organizations and decision makers in large private equity funds.  His perspectives on developments in the life sciences market are frequently published in industry and strategy journals, and he is a frequent guest lecturer at some of the nation’s premier universities.  Mr. Bonifant earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
